What is the difference between Biomedical and Biological Engineering?
biomed is optimizing the human body as a factory. Very often with devices to extend or augment physiologic capabilities, restore function, or function in adverse environments. biotech is establishing a factory ouside of the human body. includes batch and continuous chemical engineering but also novel hijacking of other organisms (bacteria, molds, animals) to create products or processes.
